    Poor Airflow Management

Computers perform much better when the are not running hot. In fact to much heat can not only slowly jeopardise the speed and functionality of your computer,it can also damage parts.

As well as having water cooling on your CPU or a fan on your heat sink, most computers cases either come with fans to blow cool air in, of you can buy them and installing them yourself.

Where people go wrong is they set their fans up to bring cool air in over their components like motherboard, hard drive, memory and CPU, but don’t have a system set up to blow the hot air out.

    Installing RAM incorrectly

Memory is one of the most important parts of your computer. Not to be confused with storage which holds and keeps your file, RAM Random-Access Memory is used for your computer to load programs into and run when you are using them.

Different types of motherboards are configured differently. Depending on the motherboard you have, it could be installed very different even to one similar.

Always check your instruction book for your particular motherboard and see if it is OK to keep them next to each other because some even need to be installed with space between them.

And always try and use the same memory module brands and frequencies.

    Plugging Things in Wrong

Each motherboard with come with its own installation manual. IF for some reason yours does not, you can always down load it from your manufactures web site.

With all the excitement of building your new computer and starting to use it, it is very easy to plug the wrong thing into the wrong place or not plug it in at all.

Be sure to follow your motherboards manual and always take your time. There are a lot of things to get right and sometimes plugging the wrong cable into the slot or port can result in your computer not starting up or damaging the components and ruining them, specially when it comes to power.
