McAfee is the best Antivirus by far!
How I came to this conclusion
- The amount of computers I see infected – I see a lot less computers infected with viruses which McAfee antivirus installed.
- Computers infected – The computers infected which have McAfee Antivirus seem to be a lot less severe.

My Second Choice is BullGuard Antivirus
BullGuard has been around for a few years now but in terms of the history of antivirus programs it was one of the late arrivals to the party in the early 2000’s.
Most of the computers with BullGuard seem to stay very protected.
I never usually use to recommend them because I didn’t seem it on enough computers to think I hd a big enough sample.
But now I see it on just as many computers as the other antivirus programs so lot of people are using it and a lot of people are protected.
Its also very light on systems, which means its not as intrusive as others, and doesn’t slow your computer down that you will really notice.

Personal Note
For all the people who have been reading on my website, you will know I am not a big fan of any of the antivirus programs out there.
Although I am sure they do offer protection, just remember it’s not 100%. Every day I see computers which are infected and still have an anti-virus installed. However, I can only imagine there would be a lot more infected computers with out them.
What I am saying is it is definitely better to have one on your computer and they will catch a lot of virus infections before they infect your system, but they will not catch all.
Take them with a grain of salt, be careful the sites you go on, what links you click and what you install. And always keep your software, operating system and antivirus definitions up to date to maximise the effectiveness of you defence!
And don’t forget to always back up. If you have backed up, and you get infected, you can always get it back.
