One very annoying computer problem is when your screen starting flickering. Sometimes it does this as soon as you turn it on, other times it can happen after it has been running for a while.

If your laptop is older it might not be worth repairing when weighed up against the price of a new one. With desktop computers you have more options, such as replacing the graphics card, adding one on, or replacing the motherboard itself.
Bad Video Drivers
Video card drivers are programs which help your card talk to your computer.
Most of the time they work great, but sometimes the become corrupt or are not created properly.
The easy fix for this is to go to the manufactures website of your graphics card and download and reinstall the latest graphics drivers for your card and operating system.
A good indication this is the case is if it happens when you start to put pressure on your video card, such as doing some modelling, editing or computer game playing.
Corrupt Operating System
Your operating system is the environment in which your computer operates and the software that helps you talk to your computers hardware.
For most people the operating system will be one of the Microsoft, such as Windows 7, 8 or 10. Other people will use Apple Mac computers so they will have OSX and fewer will be using a Linux Distribution.
The more you use your computer and install and uninstall applications, the greater the chance of it becoming corrupt.
When this happens and it becomes too unstable, you might have less options and might have to reset your computer back to like the day you got it.
If you do this, make sure you have backed up all your data because it will most likely get wiped.
Malware or Virus
Computers Viruses can do all sorts of things to your computer.
As well as running havoc, installing spyware or ransomware, they can destroy personal and system files on your computer.
This can include operating system files, video drivers and anything else stored on your hard drive.
