Unlike Windows computers which include Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 and Windows 10, Apple computers use their very own operatign system call ed OSX. Currently OSX is 11 (Elcapitan).

The software on your Mac is written differently than on your wWindows computer, so if you were to put your Windows version of Office on Mac it would not work. That doesn’t mean you cant run the same software on both computers, in most cases you can. But just different versions, a Mac version or PC Version.

Do Mac Computers get Viruses

It is a widely believed myth that Macs do not get viruses, they do!

Up until a couple of years ago Apple themselves said Mac computer do not get viruses, but took this down off their website in 2012.  And even though it is harder for viruses to infect Mac computers, it does happen.

Te Unix foundation Mac computer software and operating system (Unix) are written on is very secure and pretty good at looking after your security. Also the majority of computers out there are Windows PC’s. Because there are less people using Macs and their reputation of being secure, a lot less viruses are made to infect computers. I guess the bad guys just figure, “why put in all this effort when it is easier to infect other computers?”

Are Apple Mac computers harder to use

This is a person preference question. Everyone is different and answers this question differently. I have been using my Mac for years and also still use a Windows operating system computer.

For me it was a learning curve, but now I love it.

I recommend anyone who is interested in using a Mac computer to use one, if they have the time to invest in learning to use it. You wont know how to do everything on it over night.

If your computer you are using now is a Windows computer and it is crytical for you to use it and keep your work and finances up to date. I recon leave it for another time.

I got myself in trouble over the years recommending them to people. I know they are good and i know how to use mine. But a lot of people got back to me frustrated because they thought they were going to just jump straight on and use it.
