    Forced updates causing crashes

    With Windows computers 1 shoe does not fit all. But with Windows updates thats what you sometimes get and not being able to change what updates you want to receive can cause problems and conflicts between drivers and programs.

    A bad update that causes a conflict, specially regarding drivers can cause your computer to stop booting up, not be able to access the wireless network or no screen output.

    Microsoft has a repository of drivers they think will best suit your computer. You can always get them from your manufactures website but if Windows Updates deliver them to you, there might be a problem if they are the wrong ones or conflict with that you already have on your system.

     

    The new Windows Browser

    Microsoft Edge is the new Windows browser which comes with Windows 10. Edge has a lot of new security and optimisation benefits but a lot of users have taken a while to warm up to it, myself included.

    For a modern browser it looks very chunky and a lot of the menus you are use to seeing no longer exist.

    But just because it comes preloaded with Microsoft Windows 10 does not mean you have to use it. If you go to your run setting and type iexplore.exe you will will still be able to use Internet Explorer and you can still also go to another web browser web site like Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome and use their free web browsers.

     

    New Windows Mail

    Everyone who used Windows Mail on earlier versions of Windows are having avery very hard time using the new version of Mail which comes prebuilt into Windows 10.

    Some very basic things are missing such as the ability to create folders and sub folders and you have virtually no customisation options. Its hard to think this is an over site so many people have assumed its just another way to force users to buy Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.

    If you do not want to purchase Microsoft Office you can us a very good free alternative called Mozilla Thunderbird which is packed with feature rich options and customisation.
